| Collards Collards 1 ½ cup water salt sugar fatback grease Cut leaves from stalk. Inspect and wash collards thourougly. Cut up and put into pot. Add the water, some salt, and a little sugar. Cook about 30-35 minutes. Drain off water and add fatback greate (you can also use as a substitute for the grease). Stir and cook slowly for a few minutes longer. *Makes for a great meal in the Winter time. |
